Maximus Plus Selenium

A broad spectrum oral drench for sheep containing 1.0 g/L Moxidectin, a second generation member of the macrocyclic lactone family of chemicals, and 0.5 g/L Selenium (as sodium selenate).

Persistent activity

When used as recommended, MAXIMUS Plus Selenium prevents reinfection with:

• Barber’s Pole Worm (Haemonchus contortus) for at least 14 days and pasture contamination with its eggs for at least 30 days after a single treatment;
• Small Brown Stomach Worm (Teladorsagia [Ostertagia] spp.) for at least 14 days and pasture contamination with its eggs for at least 35 days after a single treatment.

Control of resistant strains

MAXIMUS Plus Selenium controls sheep roundworms that have resistance to the benzimidazoles or imidazothiazoles (levamisole / morantel) families of chemicals.
